 BATMAN DAY gets its last gasp of Gotham with the MASK OF THE PHANTASM nicely coupled with SUSPENDED ANIMATION's GANDAHAR if you're feeling the animation vibes lately. The latter is a rarely seen treat from the director for FANTASTIC PLANET, RENÉ LALOUX, highly suggested if you like things that are cool. And if you wanna stay in the psychedelic headspace, omnipresent ALEJANDRO JODOROWSKY's HOLY MOUNTAIN 4K restoration is a lovely way to alter a few brain cells followed by a mind-melting set behind the screen from OTHERWORLDERS.  GUS VAN ZANT's ELEPHANT has lost none of its punch in the decades since its tragic inspiration and in that sense it's a somewhat reluctant addition to BLEAK CINEMA, but the slow tracking steady cam shots are so infused with anxiety and beauty it ultimately makes the cinematic journey worthwhile. Some may have noticed more than a few film previews with some special guests by way of several community partners and this week's UNION COUNTRY with a special visit from actor WILL POULTER who's been making time on the BEAR and DUNKIRK in previous outings, will be stopping by with director ADAM MEEKS.
